After four years of vegetable production in downtown Greenville, South Carolina under the brand name Reedy River Farms, George and Sarah DuBose moved to their five-acre property in Dacusville to start a flower farm and rustic event space.  While the experience of small-plot Urban farming on leased land within city limits was highly fulfilling and transformative, we were ready to purchase some land and set some deeper roots of our own.

Using the biologically intensive farming methods we learned during our vegetable growing journey, we were able to transform two acres of dormant agricultural fields into a thriving flower garden.  After several old growth hardwoods fell during a series of storms, we built a pavilion and planted new trees to create an event space for guests to enjoy.  Today, we are farming with a purpose of welcoming our community and offering customers the opportunity to participate in our family farm experience.

By working with nature instead of against it, our practices promote healthier soil, conserve water, and reduce the need for synthetic inputs, all while producing high-quality crops. This approach is essential to creating a sustainable and resilient food system.
